The Real Problem

Context

A hardware store in Bouira had no online presence: customers called or sent Facebook messages, with no way to see real prices or stock before coming to the shop.

The site puts the whole catalog online with live prices and stock badges, nine aisles from power tools to plumbing, and ordering that needs no account — name, phone, address, then the store calls to confirm.

An AI assistant turns a described need into the right product: 'a drill for concrete', 'pigeons on my balcony', 'my sink is clogged' — in French or Arabic.

01

Approach

I designed for the local reality: no card payments, no forced accounts, and customers who describe a problem rather than a product reference. Cash on delivery, phone confirmation and an assistant that translates a need into the right aisle.

02

Execution

The storefront shows live prices, stock badges and 'seen on TikTok' picks, organized aisle by aisle. Checkout stays three fields long and every order gets a confirmation call before delivery.

The assistant answers from the real catalog in French or Arabic, while the store manages products, stock and orders from its own back office. The shop now sells beyond Bouira, across Algeria.
